About
I'm Ugo Giordano, a Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat on the OpenShift AI platform team. I contribute to the Kubernetes operators that power the platform and focus on hardening its security posture. I work across 20+ repositories, building Go libraries, admission webhooks, and CI/CD automation. I'm particularly interested in how AI integrates into real developer tooling, not as a chatbot but as an agent that can actually do things.
What I'm working on
- Remediating a platform-wide RBAC misconfiguration across 22 operators
- Building a chaos engineering framework for Kubernetes operators (operator-chaos)
- Automating security assessments across 135+ repositories using AI-powered analysis
- Contributing upstream fixes to controller-runtime operator patterns (OOMKill vulnerability)
Background
Security hardening, operator development, DevSecOps automation.
Production escalations for enterprise OpenShift clients in financial services and telecom.
Cyber-physical protection systems correlating PSIM and SIEM events for critical infrastructure.
Cloud benchmarking frameworks for NetUNIX, a carrier-grade network operating system.
Education
SDN control plane reliability, fault injection frameworks, NFV overload control.
